Congratulations Steelers. While watching the football game I realized a few things.
1. America wastes a lot of money. With the financial crisis there were still many companies willing to shell out the 2-3 million bucks for a 30 second add. The worst part was these commercials (for the most part) were not entertaining, and probably would have advertised just as well the next day on normal tv.
2. ESPN Analysts don't know anything outside of the sport they are covering. Christ Carter and Keyshawn Johnson argued for 5 minutes on whether Santonio Holmes was putting ketchup or hot-sauce in his hands with the ball for his celebration. If you have seen any NBA Nike commercial or game in the last year you know that it was clearly a reference to LeBron James's pre-game ritual of putting baby powder on his hands. It was pretty sad to listen to these great receivers tell the world they are oblivious to pop culture and professional basketball.
3. The Office trumps The Super Bowl. As exciting as the game was in the fourth I could have cared less because NBC was airing a new hour-long office immediately afterward. It was everything I thought and more.
